HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
To all the special and most loved daddy's out there, "you are the best! We love you".
I made a sock puppet that can be used by daddies to entertain their very little one's.
Meet Rosita! I used her to make our Father's Day message!
All I needed to make her was some black beads for eyes (can replace with googly eyes, loose buttons, can even embroider eyes).
I used an orange bead for the nose, can be skipped for animals.
I needed some muti-colored wool bits (5-6 inches) to make the hair.
some red pen to draw her lips and thread to sew the bits on.
So at first, I sewed the eyes on the existing stiches. I did this after I inserted my hand in the sock to test out which side I want the face on.
The hair was fairly easy, I cut up even bits then the left over bits were also used to make the hair by attaching it to the front and stitch it on. Again I stitched it on the existing stitches.
By now the puppet is taking up a form and you can decide how you want it to look. we can add so many accessories like a bow on top or a hat or glasses or a bow tie Around the neck ( I was debating giving her an ear and earrings....but decided against it to make it more easy to manipulate).
As a finishing touch, I have given her a bow and red lips (can use any red pen except washable markers). I named this puppet Rosita and introduced her to my boys. They thought she looked like a sheep ( so great to see that they still have imagination intact).
I plan to make social videos with more sock puppets and upload them here. Keep checking back.

Happy fathers day!! Enjoy making one for the daddies!
