I have boys at home that just love trains, when I asked of we can make our own car....they said let's make our own train.

so here is my humble attempt at making our own wagon.

What we needed are as follows:

-4 bottle caps for wheels, I used 8 (4 slightly smaller ones that fit on the inside of the larger bottle cap).

- 2 wooden sucker sticks, filled to make both ends level

-20 or so c-links ( mine are from amazon link c-clips) Hyamass 200pcs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0755H8BVX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rVXoFbD7VXNEG

-glue gun

-2 thin straw

-4 push pins

- 2 flat popsicle sticks

Steps to make the wagon:

I pierced holes on the inside of the smaller bottle caps and inserted the sucker stick through the cap. On the outside of the larger bottle cap inserted the push pin.

once the push pin made an indent in the sucker stick. I got glued the orange smaller cap into the larger white cap along with a pint bit of glue on to the pushpin.

once the two whees were nicely glued and stuck together, 2 links were glued to the back wheels and 2 links to what would be front wheels.

The glued links need to allow free movement of the wheels.

the front wheel needs free movement to left and right and to be able to turn, therefore the links were glue in a "V " position to permit easy movement.

Then I stuck two flat popsicle sticks in a "V" position. This connected the back and front wheels.

Once the popsicle sticks were glued on, the 2 straws were stuck on top of the popsicle sticks. This became a supporting structure for the wagons body.

The yellow straw can be trimmed to suit presentation based on the wagons structure. I uses a disposable aluminum bread storage box for the wagon, recycled it after a single use.

Lastly, I attached the c-links to the front and back of the wagon So that my kids could pull it or attach it to another toy.

overall cost of the toy...negligible as we had all of these items in the house!
