I have just been waiting for my son to eat 9-10 Babybel cheese to write up this blog, simply because I needed those wrappers 😬.

I loved making this candle and when I lit this candle, I recited the simple "peace poem"prayer that my son recited at his school:

"I offer you Peace, I offer you love, I offer you friendship, I hear your cry. I see your beauty, I feel your pain, this caring flows from my spirit within. I salute that spirit in you, let us work together for peace."

It was fairly simple to make, all I needed was a small stainless steel container (1/2 cup size).

Every time I got some cheese wax, I would melt it in a double broiler method.

Once the cheese is completely melted, I used a tiny metal piece (a spare jwellery clasp) to hold down a cotton ball wick that I had made.

Any small bolt or non flammable metal piece can hold the wick down.

I placed this cotton ball wick inside the melted cheese wax cup and let it sit in the wax to get it coated.

Once the wick is coated, it is quite stiff and can be propped up on its own in the cup. I used two popsicle sticks to keep it from sinking in the wax every time I melted the wax.

Lastly, I used simple pebbles from my yard to decorate the candle. It is eco friendly and also stylish.

There are million ways to get this candle to be super pretty, crayons can be melted in to the candle to give it some extra color...perhaps some glitter to give extra glimmer?

I just wanted functional and so mine is sweet and simple.

Hope you like the idea!
