Hi!! Its that time again! I just love to recycle and re use.

My boys both love art and generate enough crayon bits for me to recycle them every now and then.
I love to try different ideas with crayons when it is time to re-cycle and today's plan is to make little LEGO shapes crayon blocks.
so the first step to making the recycled bits is to find a good mould.
I had these silicone chocolate/ ice moulds at home and they are super handy for almost anything.
I greased the mould I wanted to use with a tiny bit of oil to ensure the crayon slips out easily when done.
The next step is to cut the crayon bits to make these multi colored crayons.
They can be inserted as is or sliced into tiny slivers and packed in with many more colors....of-course the tinier the slices...the more that will fit in.

The next step is to preheat the oven to 170' F and start baking the crayons. Keep checking on and off to ensure the crayon is melting as expected.
I turned the oven off at 15 mins and let the crayon fully melt in there for another minute or two.
once it has fully melted, we can either let it cool in a rack outside the oven or leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
I refrigerated mine and set it out to pack it for my kids.
I am just waiting to see their happy faces tomorrow when using the vibrant crayons😉.
Enjoy making your own!
